Are You Stuck in a Negative Pattern?

AKA How to Recognize if you Need Help to Get Unstuck

Do you feel like something in your life isn’t working? Maybe you feel tired all the time, or like nothing will ever make you happy? Maybe you feel discomfort with who you are as a person or question whether you deserve better? Maybe you just feel as though there’s something fundamentally wrong with you?

If life feels unfulfilling to you, you need to know that it’s not your fault — and there’s a better way to live.

This kind of continued discomfort is often caused by unaddressed feelings and memories. When that discomfort arises, we tend to create repetitive habits to avoid the pain. These repetitive habits become problematic because they stop you from experiencing joy.

Discomfort is a signal from our body telling us something isn't right and may need resolving. Unfortunately, we've been trained to avoid or ignore these signs, so we can push forward and keep ourselves busy with doing things, instead of being with what's asking for our attention.

Over the years, it's easy for these unaddressed issues to accumulate and we end up responding to the underlying discomfort through sets of habits stuck on auto-pilot. And that's how we get stuck! By unknowingly carrying the past and relying on habits that help us avoid pain.

It may be uncomfortable to revisit these age-old issues, but consider that underlying pain as a red flag. The discomfort often indicates something that needs to be brought forward and worked through with the help of our program’s support.

Can Our Program Help You?

Our program was developed for people who have been through Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and for anyone who struggles with the symptoms and conditions listed within the quiz below. We created the following quizzes to help you gain a better understanding of what you have been through and what you might still be carrying.

The purpose of taking these quizzes is to create awareness. Are the symptoms and conditions you're experiencing actually distress signals letting you know something unresolved needs to be addressed so you can Get Unstuck?

If these quizzes help you to realize there are things you are carrying that you want to process and let go of - our program can help you to do the work to Get Unstuck.

Please keep in mind - bringing these memories and ensuing feelings forward may be upsetting. Difficult thoughts can trigger emotional activation and nervous system dysregulation. If you notice symptoms of distress, please ensure you take action to self-regulate and help yourself cope in healthy ways.

We recommend doing breathwork exercises, or meditating while focusing on slowing down the breath, or processing feelings out loud on a free group call, or with a therapist/trusted friend/family member.

We can help!

Those who take part in our program often come to us for help with the conditions and symptoms listed in the following quiz.

Again, the purpose of asking yourself these questions is to create awareness. How are you living? Could these conditions and symptoms be the result of unprocessed memories or unresolved emotions?

If you think this could be the case, we developed the Get Unstuck program for the exact purpose of helping you to address the unresolved issues you've been carrying for too long.

You can find definitions of all these symptoms and conditions in our Ultimate Guide to Addiction Recovery, Healing Trauma and Getting Unstuck

Wrapping Up

The conditions and symptoms listed here are often the result of repressed emotions or experiences from the past that may never have been addressed or dealt with. We use the term trauma to refer to these things we carry that remain unprocessed or unresolved.

You may not have ever considered that the way you feel now can be traced back to traumatic experiences. People often think that what happened to them was their own fault, or that it wasn’t “bad enough” to warrant continued discomfort.

But within a lifetime, most humans experience trauma in both overt and covert ways. The majority of us don’t know how to manage trauma — as a result, we avoid or distract ourselves from the associated bad feelings.

First of all, you need to know that the way you feel is not your fault. The trauma you experienced is not your fault. Something happened to you, and it’s causing you discomfort. That’s all. And the only way to fix it is to bring it to light with professional help and support so you can explore and discuss it.

That’s the work you need to do to set it free and let it go.

The experience of trauma can be difficult to process — especially without the help of a support system. But if you’re willing to do the work, you can overcome your trauma and conquer the dependencies or other patterns that cause suffering in your life.

Get Unstuck is a transformational change program that gives you access to a support system and guidance through the process of cleaning up the past to address trauma, dependencies, and other patterns that cause suffering.

If the quiz results lead you to recognize that you experience several of the symptoms described above, our program can help you work out the underlying traumas. What you’ve been through doesn’t define you, nor are you broken or damaged due to what happened to you. It is 100% possible to create change so that you can go from simply surviving to thriving and enjoying a fulfilling life you love.

If you’d like to process what you’ve discovered through taking these tests, please book a free consultation call so I can help you determine which healing methodologies may suit your specific situation best.

It can also help to talk about the feelings that came up while revisiting the past for this test. We have free group calls that you can attend anonymously. These are safe spaces where everyone is respected, listened to and acknowledged without receiving unsolicited advice or judgment.
